EXPLOREOur story is about people who love to explore the world. Exploring is about going beyond the point where others would stop and dare to find new places. Travelling to the most untouched places in the world, to find the beauty that nature has to offer.
EXPLOREOur planet and the environment have always been our priority. We share this view with our partners Trees for All and Trees for the Future. With Trees for All we make our parcel deliveries CO2 neutral and with Trees for the Future we plant a tree for every watch sold. Many of our customers join us and make an even greater impact by donating a tree to the Smart Forests in Bolivia through Trees for All. You can do this by adding a tree to your shopping cart for an additional 5 dollars.
"Since the start of WoodWatch (2013) we have donated tens of thousands of trees in Senegal, Cameroon, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, the Philippines and Bolivia."
When it comes to creating products made from wood, research points to the significant advantage that wood has over comparable materials. Carbon emission, effect on water quality and overall environmental impact when measured over the complete life cycle of the structural material is one of the examples. The energy that is needed for creating wooden ‘shapes’ is lower than that of the same shape in steel, meaning that making a WoodWatch is way less energy intensive than a comparable watch made of metal and steel.
Making impact with Trees for the Future Forest Garden Program
Together with Trees for the Future we donate a tree for every watch sold with the so-called Forest Garden Program. We do this to compensate for our wood usage and carbon footprint but also to support local communities in Senegal, Cameroon, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. The Forest Garden Program is a proven successful approach. By planting specific types of trees in a systematic manner over a four year period, families can positively change their lives forever. Forest Gardens consist of thousands of trees that provide families with sustainable food sources, livestock feed, products to sell, fuelwood and a 400% increase in their annual income in four years. Trees for the Future aims to lift a million people out of poverty using the Forest Garden Approach.
We are very proud that we are the first partner of Trees for All to compensate the carbon footprint of our parcel deliveries on an international level. We do this by donating trees in the Smart Forests in Bolivia for every international WoodWatch parcel delivery.

If you want to support our planet, even more, you have the opportunity to donate one tree for an additional fee of 5 dollars in the shopping cart while ordering your watch. With this donation, you support the Smart Forest in Bolivia together with Trees for All.
"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now"
